New York City Labor Chorus - http://www.nyclc.org/
What is it? Our Chorus promotes union solidarity by expressing through song the history and ongoing struggles of workers for economic and social justice. Our dynamic repertoire combines the power and culture of union music with the great gospel, jazz, classical and folk traditions.
On May Day, the chorus will be singing “United Front” and “Solidarity Forever.”
Where can I hear them? 5:08pm on the stage at the South end of Union Square.
May Day Flag Burst -http://www.indiegogo.com/maydayflags
What is it? Beginnig in May, people will be hanging “99% Occupy” flags out their windows. On every block, on every street people will be able to see that the movement for economic justice is alive and well and only growing bigger.
The flags are also an outreach tool. When we give out flags, it will be combined with an outreach booklet that explains why we occupy. The booklet will also say, “If you appreciated getting this flag, please make a contribution to our flag outreach campaign so we can give a flag and booklet to someone else, just as someone contributed so that we could give this flag to you.”
Where can I see it? Madison square park at 11 AM, and in windows all over NYC!
How can I help?
Contribute to the cost of flags http://www.indiegogo.com/maydayflags
Make your own flag. All you need is some fabric and glue, paint or a marker.
Host a flag making party with your family and friends.
May Day Musical Songs - www.maydaymusical.com
What is it? May Day is a new musical by Jason Hart and Dimitri Landarin about soldiers returning home from the war. Two songs will be performed from this musical.
Where can I hear it? At Bryant Park in the morning, and at Union Square at 1pm, alongside the Piano Across America.
Flashmob Filmmaking
What is it? Come together with a group of strangers to write, shoot, and edit a movie together in less than two hours. Filmmaker Zacqary Adam Green of Plankhead will facilitate, helping you flex your imagination and use your creativity. Because when the 99% can have this kind of fun on their own, who needs Hollywood?
Where can I see it? Bryant Park, assembling at 11:30 and starting at noon. Look for
someone holding a big sign that says “Flashmob Filmmaking”.
How can I help? Bring any kind of random objects that might be usable as props. We
could also use another videographer to get some behind-the-scenes footage.
OWS & National May Day Environmental Color Block

GREEN: Reclaim the Earth, Growing Our Way Forward
WHITE: Consciousness Shift
ANIMAL COSTUME: Animals are Integral to a Healthy Ecosystem

Where can I see it? Everywhere, all day!
How can I help? Dress in one of the colors and show the world what you care about!
Image Strip
What is it? The photo strip will feature 99 photos that document the progression of Occupy Wall Street - from the initial days of the movement’s blooming at Liberty Plaza last September to the “Sleepful Protest” taking place now. The images included highlight the diverse avenues that Occupy has taken in order become a community as well as the many economic, social, and political issues it takes aim at.
Where can I see it? It will be installed in Bryant Park around 9 AM.
Crush the musical - http://intothegravel.com/
What is it? A two-act musical play, titled “Crush.” ”Crush” is a nightmare within a limbo that carries 8 characters from one trap to the next. It is set in the 1950s pinpointing domestic relationships and entrapment in home life. It’s also a lot about panic and its influences.
Free art from Molly Crabapple
What is it? Free art prints from the archives of Molly Crabapple, an NYC artist who has contributed enormous amounts to several Occupy projects, including the iconic MayDay General Strike poster above. Her new series, The Shell Game, is a year-long, crowdsourced project to create an art show about the world financial collapse, and the people who have risen up in protest against it.
Where can I see it? Part of the Free Store in Bryant Park, 11am-2pm or until supplies run out.
How can I help? Take my stuff. Please.
