On May 1st, 2012, everyone in New York who leaves their house or looks out their window will see public art as part of an historic MayDay celebration. Here are just some of the projects underway, with details about where you can see them and how you can participate in their creation.

OWS & National May Day Environmental Color Block

What is it? On May Day, we invite individuals and groups to dress in a color block representing the environmental and social issues they support and identify with most! Make you body into a piece of street theatre through costume! Add to the pantomime of General Strike!!

COLOR BLOCK MAY DAY:
BLUE: Water is a Human Right
GREEN: Reclaim the Earth, Growing Our Way Forward
WHITE: Consciousness Shift
ANIMAL COSTUME: Animals are Integral to a Healthy Ecosystem
ORANGE, RED, BROWN: Indigenous Cultures & Ancient/Native Wisdoms

Where can I see it? Everywhere, all day!
