On May 1st, 2012, everyone in New York who leaves their house or looks out their window will see public art as part of an historic MayDay celebration. Here are just some of the projects underway, with details about where you can see them and how you can participate in their creation.

Flashmob Filmmaking
What is it? Come together with a group of strangers to write, shoot, and edit a movie together in less than two hours. Filmmaker Zacqary Adam Green of Plankhead will facilitate, helping you flex your imagination and use your creativity. Because when the 99% can have this kind of fun on their own, who needs Hollywood?Where can I see it? Bryant Park, assembling at 11:30 and starting at noon. Look for someone holding a big sign that says “Flashmob Filmmaking”.How can I help? Bring any kind of random objects that might be usable as props. We could also use another videographer to get some behind-the-scenes footage.
